Charges are pending after a carjacking in Bridgeland.
It happened in the 800 block of 1 Avenue NE at around 11:50 p.m. Wednesday.
Acting Detective Martin Taylor tells 660NEWS, a woman was approached by a man who had what looked like a gun, and yielded the car to him without a fight.
“The vehicle was spotted a couple times in the downtown core, and then ultimately made its way into the northwest, where it was picked up by HAWCS,” he said.
He says the driver went off-road and the car ultimately got stuck at the end of a bike path.
The offender took off but was apprehended by a K9 unit.
Police found an airsoft gun which they believe was the weapon used.
The victim was not injured.
