Former foster dad facing more charges

Charges against a former Calgary foster parent are now up to five.

The Calgary Sun reports a former ‘foster parent of the year,’ Gary Prokopishin, will face two new accusers when he stands trial for molesting boys under his care.

The 53-year-old initially faced 13 charges when he was arrested more than two years ago but a judge dismissed ten of them due to a a lack of evidence.

Prokopishin’s trial will begin in early March.
