Wading put on hold in Bowness Park until next year

Anyone looking for a quick dip in the wading pool in Bowness Park to deal with the hot, summer sun will have to wait until next year.
Ward One Councillor Ward Sutherland says work on the facility in the popular northwest park has been put on hold due to the rain and wet weather.
The primary construction phase had finished back in mid-July but they needed to put an “epoxy coating” on the pool basin.
Sutherland says that needs dry weather to which there has been none, as a result, they’re pushing the opening off until 2017.
Construction fencing will remain in place until work on the facility can be finished.
