Alberta has made great strides when it comes to energy efficiency.
The Canadian Energy Efficiency Alliance has released their 2009 National Energy Efficiency Report Card.
The Report Card evaluates the federal, provincial, and territorial governments on their energy efficiency performance every two years. This year’s scores reflect activities occurring between January 2008 and December 2009.
Alberta received a B+, far better than the D+ they received in 2007.
The President of the alliance tells 660News the government has done some amazing things terms of really turning their attention to energy efficiency and setting targets.
At the top of the list are Manitoba, Ontario, and Quebec who all received grades of A+.
Newfoundland and the Northwest Territories finished at the bottom of the list with C and and C- respectively.
