Edmonton biofuel facility breaks ground

Edmonton is set to get the world’s first waste to biofuel facility.

Ground was broken Tuesday on the plant, which could reduce the waste headed to the city’s landfills by up to 90 per cent.

The Calgary Herald reports the $80-million facility should be on line by late next year.
