It’s a happy ending to a story that many feared would be tragic.
Lethbridge RCMP confirm 25-year-old Matthew Aaron Robillard has been found safe and sound, though suffering minor injuries.
Sergeant Cherpin with Lethbridge Regional Police says he was found in Calgary at about 3:20 a.m.
Robillard, a family man who has no history with police, was last seen at his home around 7:30 Thursday morning. He failed to report to work at a bank in Picture Butte.
His car was found abandoned in northeast Calgary.
Lethbridge police do not suspect foul play in Robillard’s disappearance, and they’re not searching for any suspects.
Cherpin says Lethbridge and Calgary police are coordinating their investigation into exactly what has happened to Robillard since Thursday morning.
Robillard’s family is thanking the public for their support during the search for Matthew.
His brother Mychal posted a message on his Facebook account.
He says ” Your prayers, your kind remarks, your outstretch of fellowship and comfort helped ease the pain and help bring hope when it was hard to see any.”
He goes on to say “Words cannot truly express my gratitude for everything that was done or said for my brother.”
