Driver, car connected to hit-and-run believed to be found: CPS

CALGARY – Police in Calgary believe they’ve found the driver recently involved in a hit-and-run and their car.

Just before 2 a.m. Sunday, police responded to 12 Street and Memorial Drive NE near the zoo for reports of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle.

CPS says a man in his 30s was transported to Foothills Hospital in life-threatening condition.

Police say the driver who struck the pedestrian did not remain on the scene.

The victim remains in hospital in serious condition.

While investigators believe they’ve tracked down the car and its driver, they’re still looking to speak with anyone who may have seen the collision or who may have seen the vehicle in the area around the time of the crash.
