Have you ever wanted to give a name to a snow plow?
The City of Calgary is inviting kids from Kindergarten to Grade 9 to submit their name ideas for the city’s snow fleet.
The best names will be chosen and will be visible on plows, and will show up on our online road conditions map.

“Winter is a big part of what makes our city so special, and giving each of our plows a name is a fun way to highlight some of the work that goes into keeping our city moving during those winter days,” said Chris McGeachy, spokesperson for The City of Calgary.
Calgary is following the lead of several other jurisdictions that have named their snowplows, including Scotland and Minnesota.
The contest runs until Nov. 30.
