A Calgary man is now charged with eight counts of sexual assault after three more women came forward with allegations against him.
Police say the accused was originally charged with five counts of sexual assault after he allegedly groped five women in the span of 30 minutes on Saturday, April 2.
Police say it happened as the man walked on 6 Street SE towards the City Hall LRT station, and it now appears that eight women were assaulted during that time.

Police also say one of the victims found a nearby officer who pointed out the man to them, and they were able to make the arrest.
“We understand stranger sexual assault can be shocking and confusing for both the victim and the witness bystanders,” said Sgt. Matt Hinchey with Calgary Police. “We want to encourage bystanders and victims to report this behaviour to police, so we can investigate and support a safe community for all.”
