Alberta is investing $276.5 million into building 11 new schools throughout the province.
These schools will be located in Brooks, Calgary, Cochrane, Edmonton, Grand Prairie, and Legal.
The goal is to create state-of-the-art learning spaces for thousands of students, according to the province.
I am pleased to see these 11 new and replacement public, separate and francophone schools opening for the 2022-23 school year. Our K-12 students will benefit from these world-class facilities for years to come. https://t.co/XPBx4YG6fo

“We’re making life better by giving Alberta students access to the tools they need to learn, grow and succeed,” said Minister of Infrastructure Nicholas Milliken.
“On top of that, building these new schools got thousands of Albertans working again. These new schools will help ensure that Alberta remains the best place to live, work and raise a family.”

The province aims to invest $1.5 billion over the next three years for additional school projects.
“I am pleased to see three new schools coming to Calgary-South East to meet the needs of our rapidly growing communities and families. These schools will enable more students to learn in their own communities close to home,” said Matt Jones, the minister of children’s services and MLA for Calgary-South East.
