Crossfield man dies in crash north of Calgary

RCMP say a man is dead and a woman is in hospital after a crash north of the city just before noon Tuesday.

An SUV turned north onto Highway 2A from the Dickson Stevenson Trail just south of Crossfield and was hit by a southbound commercial vehicle.

The man driving the SUV, a resident of Crossfield, died on scene while the woman, a passenger is in stable condition in hospital.

The other driver had no physical injuries.

Police say they don’t believe road conditions, drugs or alcohol were factors.
