A man was taken to hospital after being shot in the northwest Calgary community of Evanston Thursday, Calgary police say.

A man was taken to hospital after being shot in the northwest Calgary community of Evanston Thursday, Calgary police say.

Investigators tell CityNews in a statement a man was shot in the 300 block Evanspark Garden NW just before 1 a.m.

He was taken to hospital in non-life threatening condition.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and more information will be released as it becomes available.
