A Calgary man is facing charges more than a year after he allegedly attacked a fellow driver during a fit of road rage.
Calgary police say officers were called to Sarcee Trail and Old Banff Coach Road SW on Sept. 7, 2023 for reports of an assault.
Investigators say two people called police after seeing one driver attack another driver during a “road rage incident.”
The two witnesses intervened and the suspect left the area before officers arrived. The victim was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
Last week, police charged someone in the attack after more than a year of investigating.
Police say 38-year-old Trenton Sukovieff is facing charges for aggravated assault and mischief to property.
Sukovieff is scheduled to appear in a Calgary courtroom on Tuesday.
