Strange Advance continues touring and promoting latest album after 33 year hiatus

The story of Vancouver’s Strange Advance is indeed a strange one.

The band put out three albums in the 80s that all went gold with hits like ‘We Run’ and ‘She Controls Me.’

But not only did the band not tour until after their second album, they only did around 30 to 40 shows in their heyday.

By the time the 90s hit, grunge took over and Strange Advance hit the pause button all the way until 2021 when they released their newest album ‘4.’

Then in 2022, the group marked the 40th anniversary of their 1982 album, ‘Worlds Away,’ and played their first gig in Vancouver and they’ve been touring ever since.

660 NewsRadio’s Todd Kaufman caught up with lead singer Drew Arnott prior to taking part in the three-day Rock The River Festival in Saskatoon in mid-August.
