Victim of downtown Calgary stabbing, robbery dies from injuries

A man who was stabbed in downtown Calgary last month has died from his injuries, according to police.
Emergency crews were called to the Calgary Drop-In Centre on Dermot Baldwin Way SE around 8:40 p.m. on July 24 for reports of a stabbing and robbery.
Officers arrived to find a man suffering from stab wounds. He was rushed to hospital in critical condition, and police say he died from his injuries on Wednesday.
The victim has been identified as 37-year-old Gurdeep Singh Mundi following an autopsy on Thursday.
Two suspects were taken into custody on the day of the incident, and each was charged with assault and robbery. So far, police have not revealed any new charges against the pair.
