Man stabbed in Beltline attack; police searching for 3 suspects

There was a violent stabbing late Friday night in Calgary's downtown, at 15th Ave Southwest, that sent one person to hospital. Joel Mendelson reports.

One man was taken to hospital Friday night after being stabbed during an attack involving three suspects in the Beltline.

Police were called to 15 Avenue SE near Macleod Trail at around 9:10 p.m. following reports of someone with injuries.

Officers arrived to find a man suffering from stab wounds. He was transported to hospital in stable condition.

According to investigators, the victim was assaulted by three unknown offenders who fled before police arrived. No suspect descriptions have been made available.

The investigation is ongoing.
