Man stabbed on downtown Calgary pedestrian bridge

A pedestrian has died after being hit by a vehicle late Tuesday night.

One man has been taken to hospital after being stabbed on a downtown Calgary pedestrian bridge.

Police say it happened just after noon on Wednesday at the George C. King Bridge near Memorial Drive NE.

The bridge spans the Bow River just northeast of downtown, connecting the East Village and Bridgeland.

EMS tell CityNews that the victim was transported from the scene in serious condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
