Pope vote puts Quebec town in spotlight

A small town in Quebec is being thrown into a media frenzy, as many wait to see if Cardinal Marc Ouellet is voted in as pope.

Media trucks and many other visitors are already camped outside the only church in the hamlet of La Motte, which is about 600 km from Montreal.

Residents of the 439 person town say they don’t know what they’ll do with all the people that may make the pilgrimage there if Ouellet is chosen as pope.

The Globe and Mail reports, some who live there are worried that not all tourists will be respectful.
