Calgary man charged in Cochrane online child‑luring case

Mounties have charged a Calgary man after an investigation into allegations of online child luring in Cochrane.

Cochrane RCMP started looking into the case in May, after a parent reported that their child had been sharing intimate photos with someone they didn’t know.

Officers searched the child’s devices and found a phone number and social media accounts believed to belong to the suspect.

Investigators later identified the person involved, Police executed a search warrant at a home in Calgary on Wednesday and arrested a 29-year-old man.

Calgary resident Allan (AJ) Rain is charged with luring a child and possession of child sexual abuse material.

Rain remains in custody and scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
