Police say that around 3 a.m. on June 10, a security guard approached a woman in the community of Forest Lawn.

Investigators allege he drove her to an industrial area in southeast Calgary and assaulted her inside his company vehicle.

The incident did not come to light until July 29, when the security company reviewed footage from the vehicle’s in‑car camera and reported it to police.

Investigators identified the victim and collected additional evidence. A suspect was arrested on Sept. 1.

Muhammad Hussain, 34, of Calgary, has been charged with sexual assault and forcible confinement. He is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 14.
