Tova adopted from Humane Society

The Calgary Humane Society’s longest-serving resident is now settling in to her new home.

As 660News reported last week, seven-year-old Tova, a German Shepherd mix, was at the shelter for almost a year after being found abandoned in an apartment by her previous owners.

Thursday, Tova was officially adopted by her new owner, Anna Gilliland.

The fitness instructor adopted another dog from the Humane Society eight years ago, and helped the dog get over some behavioural issues.

Gilliland says after Sheba passed away two months ago, she wanted to give another dog a chance at a forever home.
