Edmonton police are investigating a severely injured dog after it was allegedly dragged behind a pickup truck.
Police say they are interviewing several witnesses who saw the animal being dragged by a rope or leash Tuesday afternoon on the back bumper of a Dodge Ram pickup truck.
According to The Calgary Herald, several people tried to flag down the truck with no luck.
Police spokesperson Clair Seyler says they are trying to determine whether it was a horrible accident, or whether it was intentional.
Seyler says the dog is expected to recover but will face a long recovery after losing the pads of her feet.
