Wow, that’s a relief!
The Calgary Flames last night only scored some goals, they had only three in their previous three games, including two shutout losses, they won.
Feeling the heat for their early season performance, the Flames beat the Edmonton Oilers, 5-3, in the latest installment of The Battle of Alberta.
Alex Tanguay opened the scoring for Calgary and said afterwards: “You look at our team, and we’re still missing three or four guys that are going to be big producers for our team. We feel good about the way our abilities to put pucks in the back of the net.”
The Flames now hit the road for a three game road trip starting Tuesday in Nashville (6pm, Fan 960 and Sportsnet West).
Meantime, the Calgary Stampeders (10-4, 1st) play their biggest game of the regular-season, this afternoon (2pm, TSN). They meet the Saskatchewan Roughriders (9-5, 2nd) in Regina in a battle for first place in the CFL West. Right now the Stamps have a two point lead over the Riders with four games left in the regular-season.
