Sex offender given two years behind bars

A sex offender has been handed a two-year jail term for having relations with a 14-year-old girl and her adult cousin.
Pascal Gashikanyi has also been given a year of probation, in which he will undergo counseling.
Police said the 34-year-old picked up the 14-year-old girl and her 19-year-old cousin at a bus stop in July of 2010 and took them back to his home.
According to the Calgary Sun, Gashikanyi then proceeded to have sex with both girls.
Justice Marsha Erb said Tuesday, the Calgary man still hadn’t acknowledged his wrongdoing in the case and is casting himself as the victim.
