Efforts to mitigate future flooding in Alberta are expected to ramp up following an upcoming symposium.
On Friday, government officials, scientists, and community representatives will gather at the Deerfoot Inn to brainstorm.
Alberta Premier Alison Redford will open up the half-day symposium.
Space is limited, so those who are interested in participating are being urged to pre-register.
The discussion will also be broadcast on the government’s website.
