Calgary’s Police Chief believes his officers did a good job battling crime this year.
Rick Hanson tells 660News, aggressive police work is what helped clean up the core and forced gang members into the shadows.
However Hanson likens fighting crime to the midway game ” whack-a-mole” and the only way you can win is by scoring more blows.
The Chief hopes he will be able to deploy more resources to the district level next year, which are needed to address crime issues that are emerging in outlying communities.
