Calgary police are on the hunt for two men who robbed a northeast pharmacy Monday afternoon.
It happened just before 2 p.m. at the Bridgedale Pharmacy in the 1000 block of 1st Avenue N.E.
Police say say two men, one with a handgun, jumped the pharmacy counter robbing the pharmacist of various drugs.
Duty Inspector Paul Stacey tells 660News they don’t know which drugs the thieves took, but they know it’s not OxyContin.
Several pharmacy robberies in Calgary throughout the last year have targeted OxyContin, also referred to as “hillbilly heroin”.
However, police say this particular pharmacy actually didn’t stock any of the drug.
The pharmacist was shaken up, but not injured.
At this point, police haven’t released a description of the suspects.
