Calgary Transit brakes for love stories

Alderman Druh Farrell says transit is sexy and she, along with Calgary Transit, want to know how people met their true love on the bus.

With this in mind, transit has launched a contest for the best love story just in time for Valentine’s Day.

The contest idea was suggested to Farrell, an avid Twitter user, by a Twitter follower. The alderman will be the judge for the submissions and the winner will be announced on Feb. 14th.

Calgary Transit’s Ron Collins tells 660News, romance blossomed for one young lady who was with her friend on the bus when the friend dared her to kiss the next guy that came onto the bus, and she did!

Collins adds the couple did end up getting married and had their wedding photos taken on the bus.

The prize for the best love story is a free adult monthly transit pass and a “surprise” Valentine’s treat.

Send your best love story to CTContests@calgary.ca before Feb. 10th.

Submissions should be no longer than 500 words, include your name, phone number, e-mail address and Twitter user name.
