Call it Storage Wars Alberta ?

The Redford goverment is getting into the online auction business.

Wednesday the Minister of Service Alberta launched a new website, which will allow people to bid on surplus goverment items.

Manmeet Bhullar tells 660News, the items up for action range from kitchen and office supplies to electronics and all-terrain vehicles.

People can register on the site and make a bid, and much like those Storage War shows on television the highest bidder will get the item.

Bhullar says the auction will not only help find new homes for unwanted goverment merchandise but will save taxpayers money when it coms to storage and shipping.
