A plan to save migratory birds from the threat of Calgary’s brightly-lit office towers is causing a flap at City Hall.
The Planning Commission is set to debate a lengthy report on Wednesday that calls for everything from new architectural guidelines, to dimming the lights during migration season.
Alderman Gord Lowe isn’t convinced it’s necessary here.

Alderman Druh Farrell supports the idea and says she regularly sees dead birds on the sidewalk when walking to City Hall in the morning.
