Hip Hop icon Jewell Caples passes away at 53

Jewell Caples rose to the top of the 90's music scene with her signature hooks on tracks from hip hop heavyweights including Tupac Shakur, Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre. Now, the hip hop community mourns the death of Caples, who was known as "First Lady of Death Row Records." A recently launched GoFundMe page reveals a public statement from the singer's son. It reads, "my mother touched the lives of many people, either in person, through her words, or through her music."
