Calgary police have announced assault charges have been laid against three officers in connection with two separate ‘on duty’ incidents.
The first situation involved a traffic stop in December 2008.
Some type of fight occurred with the driver who then lodged a formal complaint.
The two officers, both four year members of the force have been charged with assault.
The other incident was in April of last year when an officer tasered a driver during a traffic stop.
That member, who has six years of experience has been charged with assault causing bodily harm.
Police say they aren’t releasing any of the officer’s names claiming that’s because these incidents happened while the officers were on duty.
