More doctors for Alberta

One in four people in Calgary, does not have a family doctor.

 

And The University of Calgary would like to remedy that statistic.

The Department of Family Medicine is receiving an $8 million investment from the province of Alberta.

The money will be used to educate more students and physicians, hire more faculty members and support research.

There are just over 4000 family doctors here in Alberta.
