Council may ease rules for secondary suites

The city is getting ready to ease restrictions on secondary suites.

Council actually encourages people to build these suites in their homes, but The Calgary Herald reports complex rules exclude most people from being eligible to install the apartments.

Changes to the land use by-law would bring these problems to an end. The draft changes could come before council in the spring.
