There is a young man in Edmonton who has faced some serious challenges after graduating from a hockey program there. He was run over by a vehicle in the spring of 2008 and barely survived.
19-year-old Drew Calvert suffered a broken neck, crushed pelvis, punctured lungs and is now a quadraplegic.
His friends and family have rallied and organized ‘The Carnival of Champions for Drew Calvert.’
His parents are hoping for much needed cash for renovating, installing an elevator, re-sizing doorways, and making other much needed improvements for their son.
The Carnival of Champions takes place Sunday, May 16, 2010 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm
at Donnan School in Edmonton.
Donations to The Drew Calvert Trust Fund are accepted at any Canadian Western Bank branch in Alberta.
