Inglewood murder victim remembered

Family and friends are trying to come to grips with the random murder of a man, right outside his home in Inglewood.

The victim’s name is Mark Deveaux, according to the Calgary Sun.

Deveaux’s beaten body was found earlier this week at 22nd Avenue and 17th Street SE.

One man is charged with second degree murder. A second possible suspect is already in custody, although charges have not been laid yet.

Friends are remembering Deveaux as a great person, and the news of his death has shocked the quiet community of Inglewood.

One neighbour tells 660News, the community is quiet, and the death comes as a shock, since it was random attack, and could have been him taking a walk at the wrong time.

It’s being reported from a family friend that Deveaux’s parents want his body cremated and sent back to Ontario, but at this time they can’t afford it.
