Man beaten trying to catch some vandals

Trying to catch some vandals in the act almost cost an Altadore man his life.
Jay Jones heard something outside his home on 34th Avenue southwest on Friday.
When he went to check it out, he found three people hanging around his roommates vehicle.
It had been vandalized.
He took two pictures of the men.
That’s when they turned on him, beating him until he was unconscious.
He’s not sure if the pictures he took will help police, but he tells The Calgary Sun he won’t try to be a hero again any time soon.
