From this point forward Calgary pet owners will be rewarded for licensing their animals with a card that’s good for discounts that’s good at more than 22 businesses.

Bylaw boss Bill Bruce says there are discounts on pet supplies as well as discounts in Banff and it’s to reward responsible pet owners.

He calls the new program a ‘double reward’ for responsible pet owners.

The first is protection for your pet.

The second reward is a thank you in the forms of savings from dozens of retailers.
