The ParkPlus system in Calgary could be expanding – if city council gives the thumbs up.
A new Calgary Parking Authority budget is set to go before council on Monday.
It would see ParkPlus machines installed in parkades and surface lots, and you could be paying a higher fine if you’re caught parking in a handicapped stall.
However, not everyone is expected to welcome the idea of scattering more machines throughout the city.
Executive Director of the Calgary Downtown Association, Maggie Schofield, tells the Calgary Herald the shortfalls of the system need to be dealt with first.
There have been complaints that the process is confusing and it’s too difficult for users to get a refund.
