Crack down on Calgary litter bugs

It’s going to be zero tolerance for Calgary’s litterbugs.

Bylaw boss Bill Bruce tells the Calgary Sun, the city has been receiving more calls than ever to its 311 line from people spotting others littering.

He says that includes drivers reporting the license plate numbers of those who flick lit cigarettes from their cars.

Bruce says they’ll follow up on those calls, which could result in a $1000 dollar ticket.
