Spruce Meadows to no longer be a part of Calgary

Spruce Meadows will soon be on the outside looking in to our city.
It’s been a part of both Calgary and the Municipal District of Foothills since 1989.
The world-renowned equestrian facility will officially become a full part of Foothills beginning in 2011.
The city has unanimously endorsed the move.
Spruce Meadows President Linda Heathcott tells The Calgary Herald it’s a good thing, because they’ll only have to pay one set of property taxes, instead of two.
