City looks at lifetime pet licensing program

Some welcome news for pet owners in Calgary.

The city is looking at starting a lifetime pet licensing program.

Bylaw boss Bill Bruce tells 660News aside from being less expensive and more convenient, there would be other benefits to pet owners as well.

He says they’re looking at increasing services, so people can update their address and add notes about their pets online.

He says they’d like to get the program up and running by the end of the year, if enough people support it.

You can give your input in a survey on the city’s website www.calgary.ca.
