The alleged mastermind behind one of Canada’s biggest ever Ponzi schemes says his business ventures were legitimate.
Gary Sorenson delivered his first testimony in the case Monday, before the Alberta Securities Commission.
The Calgary Herald reports he focused most of it on the history of his career and businesses.
It’s alleged that Sorenson and his associates raised as much as $46 million in fraudulent transactions under the umbrella of a company called Arbour Energy.
