Rose bushes provide Hope for Humanity

If you’re out working in your garden this long weekend, why not plant some hope while you’re at it?

Hope for Humanity rose bushes are being sold all weekend at Greengate Garden Centres, with the proceeds going to the Calgary Homeless Foundation.

The pair have teamed up every year since 2003 for the project, raising more than $21,000 to help end homelessness.

Greengate’s co-owner says the shrubs are very hardy, so you don’t need a green thumb to plant them successfully. But just in case, they all come with a one-year guarantee.
