The greatest outdoor show on earth is captivating Calgarians and visitors alike.
Although the number of Stampeders is down slightly from last year, spokesman Doug Fraser tells 660News everything is going as well as expected.
He says organizers are quite content with where the numbers are at this point and hope to see more people come down for the rest of the event.
88,790 people visited the Stampede grounds on Friday. On the same day last year, 91,435 people attended.
Fraser says they are focusing on making this year’s annual event more family friendly.
Family Day is set for Sunday, which will include a free pancake breakfast starting at 7:30 a.m. in the Grandstand Courtyard.
