Fatal crash causes major road closures

A fatal crash has closed the northbound on and off ramps to McKenzie Towne from Deerfoot Trail.
Officers are still poring over the scene, but track marks suggest a silver Infiniti SUV was on the off ramp to McKenzie Towne when it jumped the curb, went over the grass median, jumped the curb of the on ramp to Deerfoot Trail and then finally came to rest on the grass median between the on ramp and McKenzie Towne Boulevard.
One person is dead.
The SUV itself is significantly damaged with debris strewn around the scene.
The front end of the car has been bashed in, the roof is twisted and one of the wheels has come right off.
