Competitiveness review hits next stage

The next phase of a review into the province’s economy is underway.

A council created to look at how competitive Alberta is in agriculture, petrochemicals, manufacturing and financial services is set to meet Tuesday.

The Calgary Herald reports the Premier’s council will look at taxes, infrastructure and how easy it is to hire skilled workers.

An interim report is expected to be issued in December and a final analysis should be ready by 2011.
