Horse track possible for Balzac

A group trying to build a track for horse racing near the CrossIron Mills Mall at Balzac is working to lasso new investors.

The United Horsemen of Alberta tells The Calgary Sun they want to team up with casino and hotel groups to get the $30-million needed to reclaim property surrendered under creditor protection.

There hasn’t been horse racing in Calgary since 1998.
