A former Calgary man who was brutally tortured for months is set to fly to Victoria Monday to live with his mom.
This marks the first time the 26-year-old has been well enough to travel after being dumped at a Regina hospital suffering amnesia and weighing just 90 pounds. He says he was tortured every single day.
The National Post reports that after four months in hospital, he is able to shave and eat on his own and is back to up a normal weight of around 200 pounds.
Police arrested the man’s former roommate Dustin Ward Paxton last week. Paxton made a brief court appearance and has been given time to seek legal aid before appearing again.
