Border officials at Calgary International Airport have intercepted a large quantity of the drug khat.

The drug is linked to middle eastern countries like Somalia, Yemen and Ethiopia.

The shipment was sent from Kenya. It was declared as fresh flowers, but when officials took a closer look, they discovered more than 400 bundles of the drug.

This is the 19th time this year that Canadian border officials have seized khat. It’s also the second largest seizure so far this year.
